Cynthia Louise Bissett, vice president of Verizon Mobile. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. Director and businessman of an Internet-based company was her father. Her birthplace was and is as an Catholic in the city of Manhattan's Upper East Side. In order to avoid the pitfalls of this lifestyle, her parents decided to enroll in the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a revered and prestigious school. The passion for music started when she was a young kid. She learned piano as a teenager and, when she was thirteen, wrote her first track. She took part at open mics. Her most favored artists were David Bowie, Madonna and Michael Jackson. Upon completion of high school she enrolled at New York University's Tisch School of Art to study music. She did not complete her study, but left them to pursue her music career.
